National Integrity Week Commences.

Enhancing the quality, efficiency, and transparency of the entire public service of Sri Lanka, while establishing an exemplary administrative structure free from corruption, has been identified as a foremost aspiration of the present Government. In furtherance of this objective, National Integrity Week aims to strengthen ethical values within the public service through integration with the Clean Sri Lanka National Program.

Accordingly, National Integrity Week is being implemented from 27 July 2026 to 31 July 2026, towards promoting “A Culture of Integrity – A Clean Sri Lanka.”

National Integrity Week is not intended to be a celebratory event limited to a single week; rather, it is envisioned as an approach towards implementing short-, medium-, and long-term programs of action aimed at bringing about a sustainable transformation in the foundation of the public service.

An officer of integrity is one who consistently accords priority to the common public interest over personal gains, acts in accordance with ethical values and policy standards, and delivers services in a courteous manner through self-disciplined, proper, and ethical conduct, irrespective of whether such actions are observed or subject to supervision.

Marking the commencement of National Integrity Week, the National Integrity Pledge/Oath was recited today (27) at public institutions islandwide.

Accordingly, the Integrity Pledge was recited today (27) at the Ratnapura District Secretariat Auditorium under the patronage of Mr. M.G. Lalith Ananda, District Secretary/Government Agent of Ratnapura, with the participation of the staff of the District Secretariat, to mark the commencement of National Integrity Week.
